You commented TELL ME. Here's the full story, receipts and all.
A few years ago I scaled a physical products brand past $2 million AUD in revenue.
I did it with a baby and a toddler at home. I'm not telling you that to impress you, I'm telling you because the lesson I took from it is the opposite of what most people assume. Everyone hears "$2M" and thinks success story, do what she did. My honest advice now is: never start there.
Let me explain why. And let me be transparent about who's telling you this, because that matters too.

First, the honest part about how this brand works
The face you see in Parent Stack's videos is Sophie, an AI-generated presenter. She's the consistent voice of the brand, but she is not a real person and she has never made a dollar. Every real result, number and story on this blog is mine, the actual founder who lived it. I use an AI avatar because I'm a working mum running this in the margins of a full life, and it lets me show up consistently without being on camera every day.
I'm telling you that upfront because the whole point of this brand is that I won't sell you a dream I haven't lived. So: the $2M was real. It was mine. Here's what it actually taught me.
The warehouse years
Here's what "scaled past $2M AUD" doesn't show you.
It doesn't show the stock sitting in a warehouse that I'd already paid for and hadn't sold yet. It doesn't show the cash that lived in inventory instead of in my account. It doesn't show the supplier delays, the shipping costs that moved every quarter, the returns, the customer emails about a parcel that was late, while I had a toddler pulling at my leg and a baby who hadn't slept.
I was good at it. The brand worked. We crossed two million dollars in sales.
And I was exhausted in a way that a good night's sleep doesn't fix, because the business physically could not run without me feeding it money, managing things, and being present for every part of the machine. Every dollar of revenue was tied, directly, to my time, my cash, and my attention. That's the part nobody puts in the highlight reel.
The lesson I paid $2M to learn
The number wasn't the achievement. The education was.

Because here's what I understood by the end of it: I had built a business that owned me as much as I owned it. Revenue that big, tied that tightly to my presence and my capital, isn't freedom. It's a very impressive job with terrible hours and a lot of risk sitting in a warehouse.
So when I eventually stepped away from it, I asked a different question. Not "how do I make more money?" — I knew how to do that. The question was: "how do I build something that doesn't require me to trade my time and my cash for every single dollar?"
That question is the entire reason Parent Stack exists — and the entire reason it is digital-first.
Why digital-first, specifically
Everything I hated about the warehouse years came down to three things: inventory, physical presence, and cash tied up before a sale ever happened.
Digital products don't have any of them.
There's no stock to pre-pay for. Nothing sits in a warehouse. One product can be sold to one person or ten thousand people without me buying, packing, or shipping a single thing. It doesn't stop earning when I get sick or when I need to be at school pickup. It's the leverage I was actually looking for the whole time — I just had to build the expensive version first to understand what I was missing.
That's the "never start there" in plain terms. Not never build a business. Never start with the version that needs your cash and your constant presence to survive — if a lighter version can get you to the same freedom without the warehouse.
What Parent Stack actually is
Parent Stack is the thing I wish someone had shown me before I spent three years learning it the hard way. It's built for the person I was: capable, ambitious, time-poor, and completely done with advice from people who've never done the school run and joined a 9am call on the same morning.
I'm not going to pitch you at the bottom of a story you asked to hear. That's not the deal. If any of this landed — the warehouse years, the exhaustion, the question that changed everything — then you already know whether you want to hear more.
If you do, that's what the emails are for. Real numbers, real timelines, the honest version — the same way I've written this. No hustle, no dream-selling, just the system I'd have killed for a few years ago.
